Age Policy
Every patron, regardless of age, requires a ticket and must be able to sit quietly in a seat throughout the performance, unless otherwise stated. We welcome young children to our one-hour Young People’s Series concerts, designed for children ages 4 to 12 years of age. Children less than 2 years of age are admitted free of charge and are permitted to sit on a parent’s lap for these Young People’s Series concerts.

Evening Classical Performances
Concert Insights offers audience members insights into the performance of the evening. Presented at 7pm, the 30-minute Concert Insights features conversations with guest artists, chamber music performances by musicians of the North Carolina Symphony, lectures and instrument demonstrations—the perfect complement to an 8pm classical performance at Meymandi Concert Hall. Free to ticket holders for the evening concert. Please join us!

Wheelchair-accessible and companion seating is available at Meymandi Concert Hall in the Orchestra level and in the Lower Balcony. Wheelchair-accessible seating is an open, level space that accommodates one person using a wheelchair. Up to three companion seats are also available next to each wheelchair-seating location.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A driver’s license or other I.D. is required to reserve a wheelchair. Upon arrival at Meymandi Concert Hall, please see an usher or Box Office staff for assistance.
Accessible parking spaces are available on the first level of each garage and in the surface lots. The parking cost for these areas is $10.00 per car.
A drop-off zone is located in the brick area along South Street in front of Lichtin Plaza. Driving on the Plaza is strictly prohibited.
Meymandi Concert Hall is equipped a radio frequency assistive listening system provided free of charge. There is a limited supply of headsets that should be reserved in advance. For more information, please call us at 919.733.2750 or email tickets@ncsymphony.org.
Large print or braille programs are available by request; please call 919.733.2750 at least 30 days prior to the event. Please note that not all events have programs.
Orchestra Level: Restrooms are located in the rear hallway behind the Orchestra seating area.
Lower Balcony Level (main entrance floor): Restrooms are located next to the main staircase.
Upper Balcony (accessible by the elevator located on the west side [Salisbury Street side] of the lobby): Restrooms are located on either side of the center lobby staircase.
