For more than 75 years, the North Carolina Symphony’s Education Concerts have been a cornerstone of music education in the state, offering engaging one-hour performances tailored for students in grades 3–5.
Through these concerts, young audiences are taken on a journey of musical discovery, exploring “What Makes, Music, Music?” through repertoire spanning various musical genres and styles. With a rich history of inspiring students, these concerts continue to be a vital resource for educators, fostering a deep appreciation for music and enriching the cultural education for students across North Carolina.

Tickets: $5/person
Payment can be made by credit card or check. If paying by check/invoice, payment and final attendance is due two weeks prior to selected concert date.
Public Schools: Please contact your district Arts Coordinator to reserve seats. If you do not have an Arts Coordinator, contact education@ncsymphony.org.

Our free, in-depth professional development workshop is designed by music educators from across the state to complement our Education Concerts and equip you with ready-to-use classroom resources.
The online workshop with video recording and all materials will be available throughout the school year.
As part of a generous grant from the State of North Carolina, we are pleased to offer transportation reimbursement funding to a limited number of public and charter schools attending Education Concerts during the 2025/26 school year.
