Additionally, he has performed as a guest musician with the Sarasota Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic, and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
Hauser began playing the trumpet at age 12 while living in Papua New Guinea. After returning to the United States, he found his musical passion in the middle and high school band programs in Frisco, Texas. Hauser went on to attend Baylor University, earning a bachelor’s degree under Professors Wiff Rudd and Mark Schubert. He later studied with Tom Booth of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at Southern Methodist University, where he completed a master’s degree.
Following graduation and a successful audition for the United States Navy Band, Hauser moved to Washington, D.C., to perform with the Concert/Ceremonial Band. During his enlistment from 2017-2021, he auditioned internally and joined the Navy Band Brass Quintet, where he performed on tours, provided educational masterclasses, and recorded chamber music. During his time in Washington, he also founded Apex Brass, performing quintet recitals and recording for the Bucharest International Music Competition, where the group won second prize in 2021. Career highlights include a brass quintet recital and master class tour in Shanghai, and a performance of J.S. Bach’s “Brandenburg” Concerto No. 2 with the York Symphony Orchestra.
