FOUNDATION GIVING
Foundation grants provide essential support for artistic, education, and community programs, helping us provide high quality concerts and programming to the people of North Carolina. Foundation support fosters artistic growth through new commissions and collaborations; helps nurture a love of music through life-changing education programs; and makes the North Carolina Symphony’s performances accessible to listeners of all ages.
Grants to the Symphony can provide general support for programming or operations, or can be designated to a specific program including, but not limited to, the following:
- Statewide music education
- Music education in specific counties or cities
- Teacher Workshop
- Ensembles in the Schools
- Music Discovery
- Instrument Zoos
- Student performances (Ovations)
- Open rehearsals
- A specific concert or series
- Commissions of new works
