RUSSELL RYBICKI

Russell Rybicki joined the North Carolina Symphony beginning in the 2024/25 season and is an arranger for the Monarch Chamber Players. Previously, he held positions in the San Antonio Philharmonic (the former San Antonio Symphony), Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and New World Symphony. He has played with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, NuDeco Ensemble, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the philharmonic orchestras of Rochester, Buffalo, and Binghamton. He was a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, National Orchestral Institute and Festival, Orchestre de la Francophonie, and Castleton Festival.

Russell completed his graduate studies at Northwestern University and his undergraduate degree at the Eastman School of Music, studying horn and instrumental music education. His primary teachers include Gail Williams, Jonathan Boen, W. Peter Kurau, and Derek Conrod.
