YOUNG PROFESSIONALS OF THE SYMPHONY

Young Professionals Program

Our Young Professionals program, led by young professionals on the North Carolina Symphony staff, was created for concert-goers in their 20s and 30s.

We offer several event packages each year, including concert seating in a prime location of the hall and admission to a creatively themed party where you can meet our musicians, guest artists, and other arts-lovers—all at a great price! We also host free concerts featuring smaller ensembles of our musicians, at bars and other downtown locations.

Our Young Professionals Night event packages are planned for the concerts that we think will have wide appeal—so, if you’re new to orchestral music, we’ve taken the guesswork out of which concerts to choose! If you want to try out additional concerts, we also offer our Young Professionals members discounted ticket prices on many other programs throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the age range for Young Professionals?

Because alcohol is served at the parties, our event packages are 21+. While those who attend our events are generally in their 20s or 30s, we are an inclusive group!

Define “professional”…

No matter your occupation—whether you’re in the arts, in the nonprofit or corporate world, a stay-at-home-parent, a teacher, a student, or anything else—we know you get the job done! So, we invite you to treat yourself to a Young Professionals Night for a unique evening out, with a beautiful concert and a really fun party.

Am I required to join in order to attend Young Professionals Nights?

No—you can simply buy your Young Professionals Night event package and you’ll be all set. However, joining our email list is the best way to ensure you know about the events first before they’re announced to the general public. (We won’t send you too many emails!)
