North Carolina Symphony
David Glover, conductor
Caroline Shaw, violin

Ward: Jubilation Overture

Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 4

Hear the stormy and triumphant symphony that Tchaikovsky called "the best I have ever written."  The concert also features a return engagement with NC native, violinist, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, as the Symphony plays two works prepared for the upcoming SHIFT Festival in Washington, D.C.

This concert will feature music which is also scheduled for performance by the North Carolina Symphony during SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras, hosted by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and presented by the Kennedy Center and Washington Performing Arts.  For more information about the Symphony's participation in this event, please visit the information page for our concert at the Kennedy Center.
