Additional relief efforts for Haiti

Updating my previous item, we have just learned about additional Haiti assistance efforts by our own North Carolina Symphony musicians…

Synergy Spa is throwing a fundraiser from 5-8:30pm, now scheduled for Feb 9 due to weather conditions on the original date.  With a $75 donation, you’ll receive a $25 gift card to Synergy Spa, complimentary mini spa services, goodie bag, raffle items and one complimentary raffle ticket. Music that evening will be performed by associate concertmaster Dovid Friedlander, assistant concertmaster Karen Strittmatter Galvin, and a horn quartet consisting of Chris Caudill, Tracy Golaszewski, Michael Hrivnak and Rachel Niketopoulous. Food will be provided by local restaurants and caterers.

With every $1000 raised, Doctors Without Borders will provide emergency medical supplies to help 5000 disaster victims for an entire month. Attending this event will help make a tremendous difference in the lives of earthquake victims and you’ll have an enjoyable evening as well. Most important to know: 100% of all money collected will go directly to Doctors Without Borders.
